Our Story
From Guadalajara to Sanford
The Morales family has been bringing authentic Mexican recipes to Sanford since 2018. Everything is made fresh daily from recipes passed down three generations.
Three generations of recipes
Our story starts in a small kitchen in Guadalajara, where Abuela Elena first taught her daughter to grind chiles for mole. Decades later, her grandson Mateo opened Casa Morales with the same molcajete and the same handwritten recipe book.
We don't take shortcuts. Tortillas are pressed by hand. Salsas are made from chiles we toast every morning. The mole takes three days. That's the way it's always been done — and the way it always will be.
Rooted in Sanford
When we opened our doors on First Street in 2018, we set out to build more than a restaurant — we wanted a gathering place for our community. Today, Casa Morales is where neighbors celebrate birthdays, where first dates turn into anniversaries, and where Sunday tradition smells like fresh tortillas.
Whether you're new to Sanford or have lived here all your life, our table is yours. Bienvenidos.
